Here is a few of the pictures taken while in Ireland and England. Also while you are at it check out what I wrote about the trip @ http://www.openroadbiker.com/ireland-land-of-wet-dreams-literally/
You can also read about other rides @ http://www.openroadbiker.com/category/motorcycle-rides/
Here are a few pictures of Cherbourg, France overlooking the ports;

I have no idea what this was, it was some type of ruins off of the coast in Cherbourge, I just thought it was interesting.

This is the port at Rosslare, bleak looking huh?

These next few are from some old castle ruins and a monument we passed on the way to Dublin;

This one is self explanatory huh?

This is a picture taken from inside the Thunder Road bar in Dublin;

Port in Dublin at the beggining of the ferry ride that never ends;

This is one from the Port at Holyhead, see that weather rolling in?

This one was taken while still in Wales (I think), look at that snow on the mountains.

This one is the morning after the night from hell;

These next were taken in Hythe, England notice the sign in the first picture;

Last but not least a picture of us on the train (minus me I'm taking the picture) getting ready to go under the English Channel.

Hey, I finally read your whole blog.  You were far kinder to the "temporary road captain" than was deserved.  But I like your optimist outlook ' SURELY THE NEXT TRIP WILL GO AS PLANNED!

Super Rally is just arond the corner...

That Sunday night ride qualifies for A No. 1 miserable in my book but like you said, the trips gets better as the days go by.  And besides, it makes a great story.  Helps me better fit into folkses' idea of a "biker."

The ferries took up more time than we expected.  The ferry from Cherbourg to Rosselare had some excellent chow!  The joke of the day was "I rode my bike to ferry weekend."  Of course, JT had to take it there....I had been diligent all weekend not to talk about fairies.

I also enjoyed the meal and beers at the Butt of Sherry.  Hythe was worth the stop.

The train trip also went well.

Lastly, we learned a good lesson - sometimes even hardcore bikers like us will sacrifice appearances for some semblance of warmth.
